OS/ is strong in quoting, controlling, and invoicing – but when it comes to day-to-day project management, agency software hits its limits: tasks are too coarse, views are inflexible, workflows are unclear. In practice, creative teams switch to Trello, Planner, or Excel. Data fragments, and OS/ ends up with incomplete time data. With awork, your team works where they're productive – with granular tasks, Kanban, timelines, and time tracking directly on the task. OS/ still gets complete, clean data for controlling and invoicing.

awork and OS/ split the agency process into clearly defined areas. awork handles the operational side: project planning, task management, capacity planning, time tracking, and client collaboration via awork Connect. OS/ handles the financial side: quotes and calculation, budgets, live controlling based on real staff costs, and invoicing. Both tools sync in real time – the workflow runs in three phases: quoting and calculation in OS/, project work and time tracking in awork, invoicing and reporting back in OS/.

What gets synced between awork and OS/?

Answer

awork and OS/ synchronize projects, start and end dates, clients, assigned team members, time budgets from the quote, and tracked hours – all in real time. When a quote is confirmed in OS/, a project is automatically created in awork with all relevant data. Every hour tracked in awork flows back into OS/ with real staff costs. This isn't a one-time data transfer, but a permanent live connection across the entire project lifecycle.

How does controlling work with awork and OS/?

Answer

awork tracks time, OS/ calculates profitability – in real time. Your team tracks times directly in their workflow in awork: via timer, manually, or in the calendar. These times flow into OS/, where they're broken down in the Performance Report per phase: budgeted vs. actual, in hours and in euros. OS/ calculates with real salaries rather than flat hourly rates (True Labor Cost). This means even if only one extra hour was tracked, the actual costs can be significantly above plan – because a senior hour costs differently than a junior hour. True project profitability is visible from day one.

Question 5

How complex is the setup of the awork OS/ integration?

Answer

The awork OS/ integration is configured once. You create the API key together with the awork team, connect the two tools, and synchronization runs automatically from there. The integration is maintained directly by OS/.

Question 6

Do we need licenses for both tools?

Answer

The awork OS/ integration requires active accounts with both awork and OS/. Since awork and OS/ work together as official integration partners, special conditions are offered for clients who use both tools.
